Local Rules
1. On the Ocean course use the HK Water Hazards rules rather than the USGA Water Hazard rules (see below)
2. Gimme Rule: Use the gimme circles. If your ball comes to rest on or inside the gimme circle then add one more stroke and pick your ball up.( See HK FAQ file for details.)
3. Ball Hover Over Hole Rule: If a ball comes to rest over a hole it is considered in the hole. Pick it up without adding any more strokes (See HK FAQ file for details.)

Golf and Lag Issues
Most of the lag experienced in the floG! HUD are controllable by the players. See the graphic here:

Water Hazards on Ocean Course Summary
See the seperate notecard ‘Water Hazards at HK Ocean 9′ for details.
If it hits LAND first then goes into the water, then drop ball behind a line ‘intersecting the point the ball hit the water and parallel to hole’.
If it hits WATER without hitting land then drop another ball at the point of the last shot OR near a point where the ball crossed over into the water area.

Hints to Better Play
* Don’t forget that the power scale is not linear. A 50% pitching wedge shot will not go 50% as far as a 100% shot. It will go less.
* Sand trap power reductions:reduce power by about 50%
* As with any sport, skill comes from a lot of practice. Use the Instruction Center, which is also a great place to just hang out and discuss golf.
* There are small cypress trees marking the 150hm distance from the center of the green on most holes. Ocean course holes #1 and #4 use a 150hm sign instead.
* There are 100hm blocks at the 100m distance from the center of the green, on most holes.
* Some trees and shrubs are solid, some are phantom. Some are phantom but have tree “trap” or “block” prims (in 90% transparent prims). There are small red and white signs indicating the location and shape of tree block prims.
* If you day on the course seems a bit laggy try practice swings to figure out the pattern of the lag and adjust your swing accordingly. To do a practice swing simply click the hud without a ball on the ground.
